Terms
The terms for using tigerpassword and this website, written to be read: pre-release status, licenses, warranties and the things we promise back.
Pre-release software
tigerpassword is pre-release software that has not yet had an independent security audit. Until it has, the project’s own security policy asks you not to store real credentials or real seed phrases in it. Use it to evaluate, import, and explore; treat what you put in it accordingly.
Licenses
When licenses go on sale, a license is a one-time purchase that covers the platforms it names for all 1.x versions, for you (or the number of people the tier states). It is not a subscription and does not expire. We may sell major versions (2.0 and beyond) separately; we will never make a 1.x license stop working.
The software is licensed, not sold: the license covers using it, not the code itself, which is not published.
Your data
Your vault is yours. We have no copy, no access and no account. Keeping your master password and your printed Recovery Kit safe is your responsibility, and losing both means the vault cannot be opened by anyone, including us.
Warranty and liability
The software and this website are provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We are not liable for loss of data or access arising from your use of them, again to the extent the law allows. Nothing here limits rights the law gives you that cannot be limited.
This website
You may read, link to and quote this website. Do not attempt to attack it, scrape it at volume, or use the contact form to send unsolicited commercial messages.
Changes
We will change these terms when the product changes. The date at the top is the last change; the changelog notes it.
